Abstract
1450159 Rotary index card cabinets COLUMBIAN ART WORKS Inc 19 Dec 1973 [19 Dec 1972] 58779/73 Heading B6E A rotary index card cabinet comprises a housing 10, Fig. 1, journalling a horizontal shaft 19 which supports a plurality of peripherally equidistantly spaced arms 21 each supporting slidably a tray 22, which in its radially innermost position has its front wall touching a track means 52, when the rotor formed by the shaft and arms is rotated. The trays 22, each having an inclined rear wall 30, Fig. 4, and an upright front wall 29, are provided along their bases with spaced rails which engage the sides 26 of arms 21 for sliding movement into their radially innermost positions in which they are latched by pawls 43 on locking levers 41, carried by the trays, on entering an aperture 45 in the arms 21. The index cards are supported by rails 31 and a tray which has not been latched by the operator is latched by the track means acting on the trays.
