Abstract

1450122 Dental apparatus C M W LABORATORIES 8 April 1974 [2 May 1973 18 July 1973] 20728/73 and 12429/74 Addition to 1391435 Heading A5R A manifold module, manifold extension module, or instrument control manifold extension module, for example for use in the dental unit described and claimed in Specification 1391435 but wherein the air exhaust conduit may be omitted, comprises a central block 1, having self-sealing coupling members 4-7; 4'-7': 4"-7" in the outer faces thereof for the supply of air to or from and water to dental instruments, the coupling members being adapted to mate with a cooperating set of female or male coupling members in another module and housings for valves or controls for fluids passing through said module, e.g. water and air pressure regulators 2, 3 and a control valve chamber 8, an upper plate 9 provided, in the surface thereof facing the central block 1, with a plurality of grooves (not shown); and a lower plate 10, provided in the surface thereof facing the central block 1, with a plurality of grooves 11: the grooves in said plates being connected with said housings in central block via bores in the central block to form conduits interconnecting the coupling members.
