1449616 Brake actuators for disc brakes GIRLING Ltd 8 Oct 1974 [9 Oct 1973] 47004/73 Headings F2E and F2F An hydraulic brake actuator which includes means for mechanical operation of the brake comprises a cylinder 12 in which slides a piston 10 to define an hydraulic working chamber 14 between the piston and a fixed end wall 16 of the cylinder, a linearly displaceable peg 20 for mechanical brake actuation, a cranked shaft 34 journalled in the end wall 16 and a strut 30 interconnecting the shaft 34 and the peg 20, the shaft 34 being rotatable to alter the inclination of the strut to the peg and move the latter.
