1449558 Activated sludge process WALTEC INDUSTRIES Ltd 2 Dec 1974 [20 Dec 1973] 52024/74 Heading C1C An individual household size aerobic sewage treatment system designed for automatic low maintenance operation comprises an aeration tank having a perforated partition dividing said tank into a first aeration chamber and a second aeration chamber, said first aeration chamber having a raw sewage inlet and said second aeration chamber having an air lift pump for transferring waste substantially continuously to a separate settling chamber, said airlift pump tending when operating to maintain fluid level in said aeration tank below the level of said inlet whereby said aeration tank can accept shock hydraulic loads, said settling chamber having a plurality of settling acceleration plates inclined away from an outlet thereof for feeding effluent to a filter bed.
