Abstract
1449263 Gyratory crushers ALLIS-CHALMERS CORP 13 Nov 1973 [16 Nov 1972] 52591/73 Heading B2A [Also in Division B8] A feed distributor 12 is mounted above a crusher having an annular crushing chamber 10 defined by a conical crushing head 8 and an annular bowl 7, the distributor 12 comprising a stationary cylindrical wall 14 having an annular flange 16 which is releasably fastened to the frame top shell 2 of the crusher by means of bolts 20, and a plurality of arms 22 project radially inwardly from the flange 16 and support a platform 24 at their inner ends, the platform 24 supporting a fixed post 34 on which is rotatably mounted, by means of bearings 38, 40, a tubular support 54 which supports an inclined feed shoot 58 whose upper end 64 is attached to a cylindrical sleeve 62 on whose outer surface is mounted an annular sleeve 70 which is in driving engagement, by means of a belt 80, with a motor 72 mounted on the wall 14, such that the motor 72 drives the sleeve 62 and shoot 58 in rotation about the vertical axis X-Y whereby material which is deposited from a feed hopper 82 onto the feed shoot 58 is discharged from the lower end 59 of the latter into the annular crushing chamber 10.
