Abstract

1448364 Ion-exchange chromatography KOCH-LIGHT LABORATORIES Ltd 14 Sept 1973 [14 Sept 1972] 42744/72 Heading B1H [Also in Divisions C2 and C3] Chromatographic separation of organic compounds is effected using cross-linked polymers which contain morpholine groups and at least one of several other defined functional groups. In Example 10, the separation of N, N-dimethylaminomethyl ferrocene and bis (N, N-dimethylaminomethyl ferrocenyl), and of 1, 3- and 1, 4-nitroanilines, is effected using a cation exchange resin obtained by hydrolysis of an N-acryloyl morpholine/N, N'-methylenebisacrylamide copolymer, using acetic acid as eluent. In Example 11, the separation of adenosine mono-, di- and tri-phosphates is effected using an anion exchange resin prepared by reacting the same copolymer with N, N'-diethylethylene diamine, using a buffered HCl solution as eluent.
