Abstract

1448331 Modified polymers; coating compositions TOYO INK MFG CO Ltd and NIPPON OIL CO Ltd 18 Feb 1974 [16 Feb 1973] 7217/74 Heading C3P Dicyclopentadiene/allyl alcohol copolymers are modified by reaction with acrylic or methacrylic acid, and the resins thus obtained used in coating compositions, especially printing inks, which are curable by heat and/or radiation. Preferably such compositions also contain a monomer polymerizable with the resin, e.g. ethylene glycol diacrylate, trimethylolpropane triacrylate and pentaerythritol tetraacrylate.
