1448094 Telescopic shafts; universal joints OERLIKON ITALIANA 26 Sept 1973 [27 Sept 1972] 45118/73 Heading F2U An articulated shaft comprises two identical homokinetic universal joints, each with guide balls 5 between inner and outer members 9, 4 and a sealing bellows 8, the two joints being joined by a shaft section 3, the shaft comprising a sealed assembly with common lubrication for the joints. Either or both inner joint members may be mounted in the end(s) of the section 3 by splines or ball splines, allowing relative axial movement.
