Abstract
1447514 Electric battery lamps A S ERIKSSON 20 Nov 1973 [27 Nov 1972 5 Sept 1973] 53758/73 Heading F4R A battery operated lamp which has a band 22 which can optionally be used to secure the lamp to an object on the forehead of a user for example, comprises a casing 1 enclosing a lamp holder 6, a switch 13, a reflector 2 and a number of batteries 7 and a lid 19, closing the rear of the casing, having a recess 21 on the inside thereof in which the band 22 is folded when not in use, the band 22 being retained in the recess 21 by the walls thereof, e.g. hooks 24, Fig. 3, extending from the walls 25 of the recess 21. Alternatively, Fig. 10, the walls 25 of the recess 21 may incline towards each other forming a tapered groove for trapping the band 22. One end of the band 22 is secured to one end of the recess 21 and, in use, the band extends outside the lid 19 with the unattached end adjustably trapped between the co-operating edge of the casing 1 and the lid 19, Figs. 7 and 8 (not shown). Specification 1,447,515, discloses a similar lamp but the claims relate to the arrangement for securing the free end of the band to the lamp when in use.
