Abstract

1446620 Transfering cigarettes SKODA NARODVI PODNIK 4 Oct 1973 [9 April 1973] 46447/73 Heading A2C To transfer filter cigarettes from one of two lines to the other so that the filters all face in the same direction, each cigarette in the first line is tilted to an angle to the horizontal, then rotated through 180‹ and simultaneously transferred to the other line, and finally tilted back to the horizontal. The cigarettes are initially located in grooves in a cylindrical part of a grooved drum 4 but are tilted into a conical part of the drum 4 by the action of guides 5, 6, 7, 8. A grooved transporter 9 removes the cigarettes from the drum 4 and transfers them to the conical part of a second grooved drum 10. The cigarettes are then tilted into the cylindrical part of a second set of guides.
