Abstract

1445609 Injection - moulding containers HOFFMANN AG Gebr 22 Nov 1973 [24 Nov 1972] 54337/73 Heading B5A [Also in Division B8] A tubular container is formed by lap-welding aluminium foil coated on each side with the same or different plastics, notches being provided at one end to form a ring of tabs 4, bending the tabs inwardly to bring them into edgeto-edge or overlapping engagement to form a frusto-conical rim, and injection-moulding a plastics head 14, Fig. 4 (not shown), on to the rim to embed the tabs. The tube body may be encased in an additional plastics material.
