Abstract

144,539. Calvert, A. Oct. 15, 1919. Mirrors.-Two mirrors are connected together by means allowing their distance apart to be adjusted while at the same time the angle between the mirrors is automatically varied so that the head and body of a viewer may be reflected in different positions. The connecting means shown is in the form of a lazy-tongs having folding operating handles 16 and connected to mirrors 1, 2 by collars 9, 12 surrounding the posts 5 which carry the mirrors. The collars 9 have set-screws 10 engaging circumferential grooves in the posts; the collars 12 have setscrews engaging spiral grooves 13 in the posts so that, as the collars 12 rise and fall owing to the operation of the lazy-tongs, the posts are caused to rotate.
