1444925 Infants' diapers COLGATEPALMOLIVE CO 29 Aug 1973 40646/73 Heading A3V An infants' diaper has end edges 20, 22 forming front and back waistband portions with a crotch portion located midway therebetween and sides 17, 19 partly formed by fold lines 16, 18, there being provided adjacent each side, between and spaced from the crotch portion and one of the end edges 22, adhering means, e.g. adhesive tape strips 28 with facing strips 30, which secure the diaper snugly round the infants' legs. The diaper may be disposable with an absorbent pad 12 and a water-impervious sheet 14. To facilitate packaging additional, longitudinal folds are made about lines connecting end edge 22 to the sides 17, 19 intermediate the tape strips 28 and the transverse central axis Y-Y and a transverse fold about said axis produces a final rectangular folded configuration. In an alternative, or additional arrangement of adhering means, tape strips disposed parallel to the diaper sides may be used to secure tucks or folds in the diaper at the infants' legs.
