Abstract

1444286 Heat exchangers SIEMENS AG 7 Sept 1973 [8 Sept 1972] 42301/73 Headings F4A and F4S A heat exchanger, particularly suitable for the generation of steam in a pressureized water reactor, comprises a casing 1 (into which feed water is passed) and two bundles of U- tubes 17, 18 (for the pressurized heating water from the reactor) the legs of which extend into four separate lower casing portions 12-15 and terminate each in a separate tube sheet 16. Steam separators 27 are provided in the upper portion of the casing and steam is discharged at 29.
