1443576 Locks ELLIS (COLCHESTER) Ltd 16 Oct 1973 [18 July 1972] 47105/73 Divided out of 1443416 Heading E2A A bolt 50 engaging a keeper 42 is connected to an operating push-button 56 by a flexible wire cable 52 which enables it to be projected against the action of return spring 62 but which prevents the transmission of lateral picking forces. The button and bolt can rotate to defeat sawing. The bolt may be locked by the bolt 37 of a push-button type cylinderlock 32 engaging behind the rear 8 of the main bolt or in a circumferential groove in it. The outer end of the push-lock bore 34 may be sealed by a tell-tale lead disc. Several locks may be used and one or more may be located in the keeper 44.
