Abstract

1442920 Penicillin compound KRKA TOVARNA FAMACEVTSKIH IN KEMICNIH IZDELKOV 22 Oct 1974 [26 Oct 1973] 45696/74 Heading C2C 6 - [D(-) - α - aminophenylacetamido - 3- penicillanic acid is prepared by (a) condensing 6 - aminopenicillanic acid with a substituted D-phenylglycine of the formula where R 1 is 2-(1-carbalkoxy)-propenyl, 2-(1- alkylcarbonyl) - propenyl or hydrogen, R 2 is oxycarbethoxy, oxyacyl, cyanomethylene, p - nitrophenyl, 2,4,5 - trichlorophenyl or halogen, or R 1 and R 2 taken together are oxycarbonyl, (b) extracting with a chlorinated hydrocarbon of 1-2 carbon atoms and 1-3 chlorine atoms and (c) treating with a primary or secondary aliphatic alcohol or 1-4 carbon atoms.
