Abstract

1442374 One-shot/two-shot mixed silicone rubber coating compositions FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 4 Oct 1973 [5 Oct 1972] 46490/73 Heading C3T [Also in Division G2] An unexposed dry planographic plate comprises a support bearing a layer of photosensitive material which has been coated with a layer, less than 10 microns thick, of a silicone rubber applied as an organic solvent solution of a one shot normal temperature curing silicone gum and a two shot catalysed addition reaction silicone gum in a ratio of 1 to 0À5-10, the gums being uncured linear organopolysiloxanes. The photosensitive material may be first coated with a layer of a silicone primer. The support may be of aluminium, polyethylene terephthalate or paper. The photosensitive material may be a diazo resin, complex of a diazo compound with an acid, quinone diazide, or photocrosslinkable polymer. The one shot gum may be of dealcohol, deacylation or deoxime type. The siloxane component of the two shot gum may may be a mixture of an organopolysiloxane having terminal vinyl or allyl groups and an organohydrogensiloxane. The catalyst component of the two shot gum may be a palladium or platinum compound. The gum coating composition may be prepared by successively dissolving, in an organic solvent, the one shot gum, the catalyst component of the two shot gum, and the siloxane component of the two shot gum. The coated gum composition may be cured by heating at a temperature of up to 120‹ C.
