Abstract

1441460 Boiler penthouse FOSTER WHEELER CORP 26 June 1973 [30 June 1972] 30260/73 Heading F4A Walls 16 defining a corner of a boiler 12 are connected to walls 14 defining a corner of a penthouse 10 and parallel to the wall's 16 by a device comprising plates 30 connecting corresponding walls 14 and 16 and a plate 32 connecting the plates 30 together and connecting the corners of the boiler and the penthouse, the plates 30 having corrugations 30a perpendicular to their associated walls and the plates 32 having arcuate corrugations 32a. The plates 30 are connected to the corner plate 32 by further plates 34. The corner plate 32 has upstanding walls 36 for connection to the penthouse walls 14 and a generally vertical portion 32b shaped to engage the corner of the boiler; the plates 30, 34 have portions coplanar with the walls 36 and downwardly inclined portions for attachment to the boiler walls 16.
