Abstract

1440090 Poultry cages INGENIEURBURO FUR GEFLUGELWIRTSCHAFT VEB 28 Sept 1973 [3 Oct 1972 (2)] 45600/73 Heading AIM A cage system comprises an elongate stationary stand 1 carrying, along its length, feeding troughs 10, dropping removal devices 5 and watering troughs 11, and having slidably removable mesh floors 2 which have attached a series of transverse partition walls 3. Each cage in the system is defined on two sides by partition walls 3, the other two sides by grids, attached to the stand 1, below by a floor 2 and above by a droppings collecting tray 4 of the cage above. The floor 2 comprises 2 layers of plastics tube welded to form a mesh, the upper tubes being more elastic than tne lower tubes. The slidably removable floors 2 can be pushed out on rollers 7 into transport stands, which are resigned to accept the integral floor 2 and partition walls 3, by inserting an engaging device 6 into the floor frame on which device droppings removal apparatus 5 can engage, thus enabling easy and quick transfer of the animals
