Abstract

1439900 Valves SOC ANON AUTOMO BILES CITROEN 8 March 1974 [21 March 1973] 10617/74 Heading F2V [Also in Division F4] A fluid distributer for an air ventilation/conditioning system of a motor vehicle has a shutter 5 formed of two flaps 6, 7, flap 7 being connected at one end to a fixed pivot 10 and pivoted at the other end by pivot 8 to the other flap 6. A link 13 can pivot the shutter about pivot 10 to close alternatively duct 2 and 3 while directing flow from duet 4 into the other open duct, the two flaps remaining parallel. A pull on link 13 to cause roller 19 to move along fixed housing cam surface 23 causes the two flaps to move relative one another about pivot 8 and against spring loading 14 to simultaneously close ducts 3, 4. Spring 14 can be replaced by a torsion spring about pivot 8, link 13 can be replaced by a cable and a torsion spring about pivot 10, and roller 19 can be replaced by a friction shoe.
