Abstract

1437491 Laying concrete slabs E WYNANTS [trading as MAISON WYNANTS] 5 June 1973 [5 June 1972] 26860/73 Heading E1G A slab of concrete is formed by the following steps:-(a) pouring a layer of concrete onto level ground, (b) forming separate areas of fresh concrete to the desired level on top of the layer, (c) joining rows of the areas with fresh concrete to form strips to the desired level, (d) filling the spaces between the strips with fresh concrete and using the strips as a reference to level the concrete (eg. with a float), (e) smoothing the concrete and (f) cutting shrinkage and flexion joints. Before step (a), stakes are set out marked to indicate the desired level.
