Abstract

1436655 Heat-treating stainless steel DAINI SEIKOSHA KK 4 April 1974 [11 April 1973] 14994/74 Heading C7A An austentic-ferritic stainless steel containing in percentage by wt. is solution treated (e.g. at 1100‹C) and then aged at 500-1000‹C for a time sufficient to transform a substantial amount of ferrite into sigma phase. Ageing is preferably carried out at 700-1000‹C for 3-10 hours. The steel is used particularly for wrist watch cases and bands.
