Abstract

1434007 Multi-lens cameras H A H SPENCEBATE 9 April 1973 [10 April 1972] 16341/72 Heading G2A A camera has at least two object lenses mounted on a rotatable carrier, either lens being rotatable into an optical path leading to a recording film, and a mask located in the back focal plane of the first lens. Figs. 1b and lc show the rotatable lens carrier 1, with four lenses 11a, 11b, 1 1c, 1ld, of different focal lengths, any of which can be rotated into the optical path 10a to the film 8. These enable photographs to be taken directly of a document on a copying table. Also mounted on the carrier are four inclined mirrors 2. These enable photographs to be taken of an image on the screen of a cathode ray tube 3, which passes along path 10 and through a lens 4 before being reflected by the mirror into path 10a. Fig. 2 shows the mask in the form of a rotatable plate 23 having different mask sizes for different formats. A rotatable shutter blade 26 and capping blade 27 are provided. In the embodiment of Fig. 4 (not shown) an arrangement of semi-transparent mirrors enables images from a number of cathode ray tubes and/or documents to be superimposed.
