Abstract
1433489 Measuring temperature electrically FLOUR MILLING & BAKING RESEARCH ASSOCIATION 18 April 1974 [15 Feb 1973] 7545/73 Heading G1N The temperature inside an oven is measured by a thermistor 1, Fig. 1, controlling the frequency of an oscillator 2, the signals from the oscillator being counted at 4 for constant intervals at a repetition rate determined by a clockpulse generator 6. The clockpulses open gate 3 and clear counter 4 at the end of each interval, and step the count into successive channels of a shift register 5. A counter 12, pre-set with the number of channels in register 5, inhibits further stepping when all the channels have been used. The apparatus is printed on a circuit board, which is subsequently connected via leads 19 to indicating devices, e.g. a chart recorder and analogue meter.
