Abstract

1433377 Projectile fuzes MESSERSCHMITTBOLKOW-BLOHM GmbH 2 July 1973 [15 July 1972] 31333/73 Heading F3A A fuze comprises a housing 1, Fig 1, and a wind wheel generator G which is automatically extended by a spring 3 to the position shown in Fig. 2 when an explosive body carrying the fuze is expelled from a warhead or other container. In this position the generator is exposed to air flow, and, in one embodiment, charges two capacitors. When the voltage of one capacitor exceeds a threshold set by a diode an electric primer 20 is fired and the gases therefrom displace the generator further and thereby deform an element 16 locking a rotor 23 in a safe position. The rotor is then moved by a spring 25 to an armed position where a detonator carried by the rotor is ignited by another primer which is supplied, after a delay, with current from the second capacitor. Switches in the circuitry are operated by movement of the rotor. In another arrangement, one capacitor is used and the said other primer is fired by a current from a battery activated by the primer 20. In a further arrangement, the electric circuitry includes a filter which delays firing until a certain falling rotational speed of the generator has been reached. 1433379 Plate heat exchangers NEV MASHIINO STROITEL ZAVOD IM VI LENINA 18 Aug 1973 39150/73 Heading F4S A heat exchanger comprises a plate stack consisting of corrugated plates 1, Fig. 2, alternating with corrugated plates 2 Fig. 3, the assembly providing undulating flow channels 4, 5, Fig. 5, for the heat exchanging fluids, fluid distributing and collecting zones 14, 15 in communication with the respective channels being formed at the ends of each plate, and the plates having formed therein means for mutually supporting and spacing the plates, said means preferably also serving to turbulate the fluids. As shown the plates in their fluid collecting and distributing zones have corrugations 16 providing undulating fluid flow in these zones. The corrugations 16 may differ in form from one another in adjacent plates as well as with the main corrugations 6 in the central part of each plate. The plate supporting and spacing means comprises in one set of flow channels (channels 5, Fig. 5) individual projections 9 in the plates 1 which on assembly are in abutment with corresponding projections 12 in the plates 2. In the other set of flow channels (channels 4, Fig. 5) transverse depressions 7 in the corrigations 6 of each plate 1 provide abutments on the other side of the plate, which on assembly are in contact with the crests of corrugations 6 in adjacent plates 2.
