Abstract

1433019 Galvanizing plant TURNER LISLE Ltd 25 June 1974 [26 June 1973] 30354/73 Heading C7F In a glavanizing line which may include pickling baths 18, 20, 21, 22 a pre-heating region, using oil heaters or waste heat from the galvanizing bath, a bath 23, and quench tank 25, either articles or baskets 28 are carried along the line by a conveyer 10. Separate articles are removed by a conveyer 14, while baskets are sensed automatically or manually and transported through the bath on a trolley 29 at right angles to the line. The trolley may have a skimming device to clean the bath surface. The baskets are centrifuged and the articles removed on to a tipping table. The surface of the bath may be sprayed with zinc ammonium chloride. In modifications Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown) articles may be moved between conveyer sections by motorized trolleys or the conveyers may be arranged in the same horizontal plane.
