Abstract

1432655 Sets SIEMENS AG 2 Oct 1973 [31 Oct 1972] 45872/73 Heading H4J A wall mounted set comprises a handset 1 and a body 2 which is shaped so as to define an aperture into which the handset may be entered at an angle whereafter when the handset is allowed to drop under gravity it rotates within the aperture and is thereby trapped against the walls thereof. The aperture is defined by a recess 6 and a U-shaped spring-biased arm 3. Entry of the handset, at its mouth- or earpiece end, into the aperture is depicted by the broken lines while its final position, where it is held between the internal surface of arm 3 and external surface 8 of a shallower portion of the recess is depicted by the chain-dotted line. The body or the handset may carry projections which ensure accurate alignment thereof when the handset is on hook. A key set or dial may be mounted on the body. The set is useable as a desk set without modification.
