Abstract

1432144 Projection apparatus PENNANT DISPLAY & ENG Ltd 6 July 1973 [7 July 1972] 31862/72 Heading G2J A projection apparatus has a table 4 for supporting a stationary slide, from which runs an endless transparent flexible belt 5. As shown, the belt runs over idler rollers 6 and main rollers 7 and 8. Roller 7 is spring-loaded so as to tension the belt, and roller 8 is driven by a motor 11, although the belt may be manually driven instead. The slide resting on table 4 may carry a circuit diagram and the belt 5 may have equally spaced graticule lines marked thereon, so that the relative movement of the two sets of patterns can produce moire effects. The main support 1 stands on a projector 3, the light from which passes through a space in the support, and is reflected from a prism 12 on to a screen (not shown). In Fig. 2 (not shown) the frame 1 is large enough to enclose the projector 3, and the belt passes beneath it. The belt may be given a 90 degree twist at each end, Figs. (not shown) 3 and 4, so that it does not have to traverse behind the projector.
