Abstract

1430633 Electric blanket J M JOHNS 3 May 1973 21146/73 Heading H5H An electric blanket comprises a first heating element 3 substantially co-extensive with the blanket and a second heating element 16 extending over a portion only of the blanket, the element 3 being distributed so as to provide a substantially uniform temperature over the surface of the blanket when energized. The elements are controlled individually. Element 3 is secured to a woven base 2 and, as shown, element 16 is mounted on its own woven base 13. A woven top layer 31 covers both elements.
