Abstract

1430436 Cleaning nozzles ALLIS-CHALMERS CORP 23 Oct 1973 49203/73 Heading F2N [Also in Division F4] A nozzle for supplying air or fuel to a kiln comprises telescopic sections 12, 13 within which is located a plate 24 mounted on a support 26 extending to the exterior of the nozzle to permit movement of the plate to dislodge material adhering to the delivery end of the nozzle. A detachable wear piece 17 may be provided at the delivery end. The plate 24 is apertured and its support 26 is held in position by a clamp 27 which is releasable to permit rotational and reciprocating movement of the plate. In a modification (Fig. 3) the support is resiliently mounted by means of a spring acting between a saddle on the support and closure cap 22 of the nozzle.
