1430353 Cylinders S MCKEE 6 May 1974 19743/74 Heading F2T The end members (16, 16A) are retained on a pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder (11), by a pair of semicircular collects, having their inturned flanges 29, 30 engaged in grooves 13 and 24, in the cylinder (11) and end member (16) respectively, and being locked in position by means of a frictionally engaged sleeve 31. The end member has a plug-in portion 20 with a sealsealing ring 21. In an alternative form, the collets may have a coarse external screwthread (39, Fig. 4, not shown) engageable with a screwthread on the sleeve.
