Abstract

1429731 Pigments PRODUITS CHIMIQUES UGINE KUHLMANN 7 Feb 1973 [7 Feb 1972] 6016/73 Heading C4P The invention comprises pigments of the general formula wherein R is the tetra-valent residue of an optionally substituted mono or poly-cyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, e.g. benzene, naphthalene or perylene, R 1 is an optionally substituted aliphatic, benzene, naphthalene or heterocyclic radical R 2 is an optionally substituted aliphatic, aromatic or heterocyclic radical and Y is an amino, carboxy or haloformyl group, and also the pigments obtained by reacting the above pigments where Y is haloformyl with diamines. They are prepared by reacting compounds of the general formula with a compound Y-R 1 -COhal where Y, R, R 1 and R 2 are as above and Hal is halogen. The reaction takes place at above 150‹ C. in a solvent in presence of an acid binding agent. Utility, colouring lacquers, plastics and synthetic fibres.
