Abstract

1428777 Mixing vessels W SARSTEDT [trading as WALTER SARSTEDT KUNSTOFF-SPRITZGUSSWERK] 9 March 1973 [9 March 1972] 11599/73 Heading B1C A rotary mixing vessel comprise a hollow cylindrical container of circular base section from the bottom of which extend a plurality of members whose axes are parallel to the axis of rotation of the vessel, the members being confined to the bottom region only of the vessel whereby in use the agitation of the contents of the vessel occurs in the lower region. The container is formed with a cylindrical side wall 1 and has a concentric projection 3 extending inwardly from the bottom 2 of the container, which forms an external socket 5 for connection to rotary drive means (not shown). The members 4 which extend from the bottom may be in the form of pins or other projections 4b and the shape of the socket 5 may be square or any other appropriate shape to effect rotation of the vessel. Also, the socket may be omitted and the members 4 may be positioned in the form of a spiral 4a in relation to the axis of the vessel.
