Abstract
1428696 Thermoluminescent material GES FUR STRAHLEN - UND UMWELTFORSCHUNG mbH 5 Oct 1973 [5 Oct 1972] 46612/73 Heading C1M [Also in Division C4] A thermoluminescent measuring element for detecting and measuring ionizing radiation comprises a metaphosphate glass doped with Mn (e.g. from 0À1% to in excess of 1À0% by wt). Ce or Ag may be additional activators. The metaphosphate glass may be of a low effective atomic number. Emission may be in the range of 500 to 750 nm. after heating to above 100‹ C. Tempering at 80‹ C. before evaluation reduces fading.
