Abstract

1428178 Flat packages BIOTEST-SERUMINSTITUT GmbH 5 April 1973 [5 April 1972] 16283/73 Heading B8C [Also in Division C7] A polyacrylamide gel package for an electrophoretic system comprises a flat container enclosing the polyacrylamide gel free from additives, the container being made from a thermoplastic material and adapted to enclose the gel hermetically. As shown, reactants are mixed in given proportions and the solution is filled into a flat bag which is then hermetically sealed, placed on a flat surface and weighted down. In use, the bag is cut open at its edge and the gel is placed on a glass plate in an electrophoresis chamber and between the foils of the cut bag.
