1427808 Wide angle lenses ASAHI KOGAKU KOGYO K K 9 May 1973 [11 May 1972] 22169/73 Heading G2J A wide angle lens assembly of focal length F having aperture ratio of about 1:3À5, an effective photographing angle wider than 100 degrees, and a back focus greater than 1À85 F is as shown in Fig. 1 comprising eleven lenses arranged in 10 groups. The lens assembly satisfies the following conditions: (1)F/2À3<|F 1.2.3.4 |<F/1À4;F 1.2.3.4 <o (2)F/1À2<F 1.2.3.4.5.6 <F/0À6 (3)0À5F<|r 14 |<0À8F;r 14 <o (4)0À25<n 8 -n 7 <0À35 (5)0À9F<r 19 <1À5F (6)0À8F<F 7 <1À2F;1À2<F 7 /|F 8 |<2À0;F 8 <o where: F 1.2 .... i is the combined focal length of the subassembly consisting of the lenses from the first lens to the i<SP>th</SP> lens, Fi is the focal length of the i<SP>th</SP> lens, ni is the refractive index of the i<SP>th</SP> lens of the d-line, and di and ni are as shown in Fig. 1.
