Abstract

1427671 Line-by-line scanning FUJI XEROX CO Ltd 22 Jan 1974 [29 Jan 1973] 02989/74 Headings G2A and G2J A scanning device for a line-by-lineelectrophotographic copier comprises a rotary shaft 3 which is driven unidirectionally at a constant speed, pairs of radially extending transparent holders 4 each having a slot 6 with a mirror-retaining clip at its outer end, and mirrors 9 each having cushion members at each end and each being slidable from a respective pair of holders 4 at one side of shaft 3 to a respective pair of holders 4 at the opposite side of shaft 3 through a respective slot 7 in shaft 3. A pair of actuators (not shown), release each mirror in turn from its respective pair of clips after its scanning is completed and cause it to shuttle across shaft 3 with the assistance of gravity.
