Abstract

1427566 Double belt presses B GRETEN [trading as BISONWERKE BAHRE & GRETEN GmbH & Co] 7 March 1973 [8 March 1972 24 April 1972] 11221/73 Heading B5A [Also in Division F4] In an endless belt press for forming fibreboard and chipboard, belts 3, 4 of interconnected plates are heated directly by burners 29 and indirectly by the waste gases therefrom. Endless steel feed bands 7, 8 may be heated either by the waste gases (see Figs. 8-10) or by electrically heated plates 24, 25. The burners 29 may be gas fuelled and may lie in four rows, each row lying transverse the belts 3, 4 in casings 22, 22<SP>1</SP>, 23, 23<SP>1</SP>. The burner jets of a burner may comprise slits formed by wire (43) coiled around a rectangular bar (42, Fig. 6) positioned in an ear 40 of a chamber 41 housing the gas/air feed pipe (39). Each chamber 41 is surrounded by an air cooling jacket 45. Each casing 22-23<SP>1</SP> may be subdivided by a partition (26, Fig. 2), an endless belt 3 or 4 or an endless band 7 or 8.
