Abstract
1427370 Active filters LICENTIA PATENT VERWALTUNGS GmbH 20 Dec 1973 [21 1972] 59134/73 Heading H3U A filter bank in the form of a digital transversal filter for multiplex operation having the number of channel N = 2 q where q is an integer comprising M-1 serially connected delay elements, with multipliers connected to the input of the first, the output of the last, and at least some of the junction points is characterized in that the outputs from the multipliers are combined in an adder whose output is connected to a Fast Fourier Transform circuit. In one embodiment, Fig. 3, the delay elements are grouped into M/N - 1 sections where M and N are integers and M/N tappings are connected to respective multipliers P1 to which are sequentially applied groups of weighting coefficients from store Sp 1 . The multiplier outputs are then applied to adder A<SP>1</SP> whose output is fed to a Fast Fourier Transform circuit FFT. In a second embodiment Fig. 2 (not shown) outputs are taken from each stage of a delay.
