Abstract

1426127 Objectives CARL ZEISS JENA VEB 5 Feb 1974 [6 Feb 1973] 05183/74 Heading G2J An objective of focal length f 1 , for use in micro-copying, comprises an object side lens group and an image side lens group separated by a distance l 3 greater than f 1 , and has an image side numerical aperture of at least 0.5 and an image field diameter of 0.15f; the object side lens group comprises a positive lens, followed by a negative lens and a second positive lens, the air gaps l 1 , l 2 between the lens satisfying the inequalition 0.6f<l 1 < 1.8f and 1.1f<l 2 <2f, the focal length of the first positive lens being between 4f and 8f, that of the negative lens being between -1.7f and -3f, while the focal length of the whole lens group is greater than 6f; the image side lens group comprises two compound lenses followed by a converging lens and a meniscus having a thickness between 0.5f and 0.75f. In Fig. 1, each compound lens of the image side lens group is formed of two cemented elements. In Fig. 3, the first compound lens consists of three cemented elements. Specific values of the radii of curvature, thickness, separation, refractive index &c. of the lenses are given.
