Abstract
1424984 Transformers ALLIED CHEMICAL CORP 27 March 1974 13659/74 Addition to 1360624 Heading HIT A method of cooling and electrically insulating electrical equipment with a fluidized bed of particulate solid dielectric material fluidized by a dielectric gas, the gas velocity being less than the terminal free fall velocity (in the gas) of the majority of the particles. The increase in volume on fluidization is at least 10% and the particulate material is chemically stable and solid at 150‹ C. In addition to the materials and their properties given in the allied Specification 1,360,624, dielectric anhydrous oxides, sand and polytetrafluoroethylene may also be used as particulate material.
