Abstract
1424906 Melting metal particles MODERN EQUIPMENT CO 31 Aug 1973 [1 Sept 1972] 41038/73 Heading C7D Magnetically attractable metal particles are introduced into a volume of molten metal through a free surface thereof and are held attached to a wall surface by means of at least one magnetic field until they approach or reach their Curie temperature when they are beneath the free surface. The particles are thus melted without excessive oxidation thereof and with good heat transfer from the melt thereto.
