Abstract

1423651 Glazing tool J B SMITH 1 March 1973 [4 April 1972] 15412/72 Heading E1S A glazing tool comprises a disc 12 freely rotatably mounted on a handle 11, about an axis transverse to the length of the handle, the disc having a conical or domed working surface 14 facing away from the handle. The working surface 14 is preferably conical with an included angle of about 145‹, but may be part-spherical with a radius of curvature greater than the radius of the disc. The periphery of the disc is rounded off, and the edge of the rear surface chamfered at 17. A scraper blade 16 is provided on the other end of the handle. The disc 12 is used to smooth a triangular-section fillet of putty between window pane and frame.
