1422894 Lamps PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 19 June 1974 [22 June 1973] 27178/74 Heading F4R A lamp for emitting both U.V. and I.R. radiation comprises a housing (not shown) closed at the front by a face-plate 2 having an aperture 3 surrounded by two pairs of inwardly bent strips 10, 11. The strips 10 are formed with recesses 14, 15, 16 adapted to receive the end portions of a U.V. lamp 5 and of a pair of I.R. lamps 7, 6, respectively. A concave reflector cap 4 has a first pair of edges 22, 23 adapted to adjoin the free edges 12 of the strips 10 and formed with recesses 24-26 to co-operate with the recesses 14-16 and a second pair of edges 27, 28 adapted to adjoin the free edges 13 of the strips 11. The lamps 5-7 are prevented from moving axially by annular collars 21 or grooves 20.
