Abstract
1422844 Coating Al or Al alloy strip by hot-dipping SOC ANON DES USINES CHAUSSON 2 May 1973 [4 May 1972] 20758/73 Heading C7F An Al or Al alloy strip is coated with a brazing alloy containing e.g. Pb, Sn, Zn, Cd, Ag or Al, by hot-dipping in a bath at least one wall of which, has the strip passing close to it and is vibrated ultrasonically, e.g. by piezo-electric vibrators. The strip may be scraped or brushed or passed over a bending roller on entry into the bath and excess metal may be removed by wipers or gas jets. The vat may be of triangular cross-section, and its walls may be cooled.
