Abstract

1419307 Protective cabs for vehicles INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO 16 Feb 1973 [24 Feb 1972] 7850/73 Heading B7B The support legs 14 of a vehicular protective guard are provided with downwardly extending tapered extensions 28 or 128 which are adapted to be received in sockets of complementary shape 22, or 136 on the vehicle. In one embodiment, Fig. 4, the extensions 28 each have one inclined face 32 and are secured in the sockets by pins 46. Resilient pads 72, 74, (70) (Fig. 5, not shown) are fitted within each socket about the extensions, and the pin 46 is mounted via resilient washers (54) (Fig. 5) in bores (52) in the socket walls. In a further embodiment, Fig. 6, each extension 128 has three inclined faces 131, (130), (132) (Fig. 7, not shown) and is secured in the socket 136 by a pin 138 and toggle bolt 142.
