1418823 Motor vehicle engine mountings SOC APPLICAZIONI GOMMA ANTIVIBRANTI SAGA SpA 6 Feb 1973 [15 May 1972] 5879/73 Heading B7H A tie-rod for anchoring a part of a motor vehicle engine to the body of the vehicle comprises an elongate rod portion 2 moulded as a unitary structure in glass reinforced plastics material with annular end portions which carry resilient bushes, the rod portion 2 being formed by three parallel plates 2a, 2b, 2c connected by ribs 2d whereby its moment of inertia in two orthogonal directions are the same and the existence of preferential fracture directions is avoided.
