1418691 Display apparatus P BODET 6 April 1973 [6 April 1972] 16690/73 Heading G5C [Also in Division G3] In a display device, e.g. a clock or railway station indicator, wherein tablets are brought sequentially to a display position adjacent a stop 6, the first waiting tablet 7 has its upper part pressed against the rear of the displayed tablet 5 by a force exerted by the second waiting tablet 12. The tablets are pivoted freely in a pair of spaced bearing plates 2 and are extended beyond their pivot axes as at 10, Fig. 3, to produce the desired result. As the plates 2 are stepped round in the direction of arrow R, each tablet falls in turn from the display position to a hanging position as at 4. A force F exerted by member 11 ensures rapid movement of the tablets at changeover. In an alternative embodiment, to ensure synchronism of operation of an hours drum with the completion of one revolution of a minutes (or hundredths of hours) drum, a retractable stop (13, Fig. 4, not shown) is provided in front of the stop 6. As the hour approaches, the displayed tablet 5 is freed from the stop 6 and held only by the stop (13) which is retracted as the minutes drum completes a cycle. The second waiting tablet 12 is pressed by a resilient member (17) fixed to the stop (13).
