Abstract

1418507 Feed distribution apparatus FORDERTECHNIK STREICHER GmbH and M STREICHER 30 Nov 1973 [2 Dec 1972] 55653/73 Heading AIM [Also in Division F2] Feed enters a distribution chamber 3 of a feed distribution apparatus from a feed pipe 1, from whence it is delivered to troughs through a series of supply pipes 8. The pipes 8 have mouthpieces 6, 7, in the bottom of the chamber 3, which are arranged in concentric circles about the feed pipe 1. A circular plate 9 with at least one slot 10 is fixed to an ante-chamber 4 which in turn is attached to a drive shaft 11. When a slot 10 aligns with a mouthpiece 6 or 7 feed is supplied to the respective supply pipe 8 for a length of time governed by a timing device at the end of which time a motor 13 is switched on. This acts to revolve a pinion 14 once before it is switched off by limit switch 16, which stops the plate 9 so that slot 10 aligns with the next mouthpiece 6, 7. The cycle is then repeated. Each supply pipe 8 is supplied with feed for a desired time period as the time of each connection is controlled by a separate timing device.
