1417644 Fluidised bed base plate CLAUDIUS PETERS AG 19 Jan 1973 [20 Jan 1972] 2989/73 Heading B1F [Also in Divisions B8 and F4] In a fluidised bed reactor, the or each fluidised bed is formed on a support comprising lower and upper apertured plates 2, 4 in which the apertures are connected by tubes 6 and the upper plate 4 is formed of material through which gas can pass, e.g. sintered metal or ceramic material. The lower plate 2, its rim 3 and the tubes 6 are gas-impervious. Fluidising gas is fed to the space 8 between the plates through an inlet 7 and passes through the plate 4.
